How do I get rid of blackheads on the nose? Any natural/commercial remedies that actually work?

Blackheads can happen to anyone, no matter what your skin type. Blackheads are caused by oil in your skin that gets caught and expands in the pores. Oxidizing from exposure to the air, the oil actually turns black.

what works for some people might not work for everyone but here are some things that you can consider.~

First, stop the problem before it starts. Use noncomedogenic, oil-free, water-based skin-care products. (Noncomedogenic means the products were laboratory tested and approved by the FDA not to clog pores and cause blackheads.)

If you change your skin-care routine and still get blackheads, speak to a dermatologist about getting a prescription for Retin-A, which is a strong exfoliant that opens pores, sloughs off dead skin and cleans out blackheads.

If all else fails, a dermatologic facial performed at a dermatologist's office involves a prescription-strength acid that gets rid of dead layers of skin and the use of surgical instruments to extract the blackheads.

Blackheads are a problem that should be treated by a dermatologist. But, if you want to try an over-the-counter product, a lot of people rave about Biore Pore Perfect Strips, which are supposed to lift out blackheads on your nose, forehead and chin.

Hope this helps~How do I get rid of blackheads on the nose? Any natural/commercial remedies that actually work?

You can steam your skin and extract them or go to a professional dermatologist or get a deep cleansing facial at a very good spa
I used an exfoliating scrub to prep my skin and the the biore pore strips. These strips work best after a shower while the skin is still wet and warm. The strips work better if you pull them off slowly rather than quickly. I know proactiv also makes a pore strip with a solution, but I have never tried it.
Yeah, those Biore clear pore strips actually work! Try them!
Removal strips:

Blackhead removal strips are readily available at all major departmental stores. All you need to do is to wet the strip, place the strip on your nose, which is where blackheads are very likely to form, leave it on till it dries completely, and peel it off.

Steam:

You could also try removing blackheads yourself, but make sure you are gentle, or you may cause scarring. Steam your face for around ten minutes with a steamer, or by placing your face over a vessel of boiling water if you do not have a steamer. Form a tent with your towel over your head and around the bowl, to trap the steam. This opens and softens pores, and makes the blackheads easier to remove. Then take a wad of cotton in both hands, and use the cotton to gently squeeze out the blackheads.

Exfoliate:

Make sure the blackheads don鈥檛 reappear by exfoliate your skin with a face scrub, to get rid of dead skin so they do not block pores. Use it on your nose, or wherever you have blackheads. Scrub the area gently. Do not be too harsh as you may cause further damage.

While you need exfoliate your face only twice a week, many women have reported that their blackheads on their nose have totally disappeared after they started using a face scrub on their nose on a daily basis.

Good luck babe xx
