Nothing is immediate.

What you eat/drink affects how you look. Does this mean if you eat a piece of chocolate, you'll break out? No. But drinking water is a really great way to replenish your skin-think of your skin as a plant and what happens when you go from not watering it for a couple of days to watering it. We work in a very similar way.

The homemade scrub that's always worked wonders for everyone I know is from an old Seventeen:

yogurt and sugar makes a really good scrub/exfoliant, but your face is going to stink afterwards so wash your face with some good smelling soap or facial wash in addition to that.
One of my grand-daughters just loves removing (the odd one she finds) spots from my back,then ever so gently cleans the area with germoline or similar ointment. And of course washes her hands ,before and after tending to Grandad.
Why don't you start off with something simple such as drinking more water or drinking lemon water.....or green tea!

I've been having a really tough time with my face. It wasn't what it was when I was in 6th grade. Anyways, I'm 13 and in serious need of acne help! Ive tried using everything I can, nothing works! I pop the black heads and small pimples but they always seem to come back! I usually only get small pimples when I'm on my period. I have a lot of blackheads on my nose and around it!

I've tried using a bobby pin, a needle, safety pin... (It pops them but they come back!!)

I also have used Black head Eliminating foaming pads. They don't work!

Maybe home remedies might work? Like spreading oatmeal on my face or something? Should I try this after I take a shower or before? Here are some pictures of how horrible my acne face looks like (It's also hard to tell because I have freckles.) :

Rubbing Alcohol will help dry out the pimples, so use that and dab a little moisturizer of the spots to help keep skin soft and smooth.

And mixing natural yogurt with fine oatmeal, mix them until it makes a thick paste, spread across the most affected parts of skin. Leave to dry -like a mask- then with lukewarm water rinse from skin

-For night-

Use honey and Cinnamon powder, mix until you get a paste like substance, spread across infected areas of your face. And rinse in morning.

And for after Also Aloe Vera soaps and gel will help -damaged skin-

(not remove it)

Also eating healthy and exercising daily will help balance out your bodies needs, stay away from stressful things, because it will only lead out to further break outs.

When you pop blemishes, you are spreading the infection further across your face where new ones will pop up. If you do pop your pimples you should always clean the area after,maybe Sea Breeze or try putting a liitle bit of tooth paste on problem areas. Not alot because it dries out sensitive skin, but you should try that and see how it works. And try not to pop them as much, i think that will help you out too.
Get some liquid soap and mix in some table salt and rub this over your face it will act as a facial scub, just be careful of the eyes though.
For black heads try this:

Nose-Strip Method

1.Wet your nose with a clean face cloth and then dry your hands.

2.Open the packet that the nose strip is in, and rip the little tabs for a better fit on your nose.

3.Put the sticky side on your nose, wet it again and wait for around 10 minutes.

4.After 10 minutes, the nose strip should be as hard as papier mache. Remove it.

Facial Scrub Method

1.Wash your face and rinse with water. Do not bother to dry it.

2.Take a quarter-sized amount of facial scrub and lather through clean hands.

3.Massage your face with the scrub to exfoliate the skin.

4.Rinse and wash face again if necessary.

Steaming Method

1.You may be familiar with this method of treating colds. However, it is also highly effective in treating blackheads.

2.Boil up a pot of water; adding lemon is an option.

3.Throwing a towel over your head so it covers the pot, keeping the steam within, lean over the pot and breathe deeply.

4.Do this for five minutes, until your face is quite wet from steam and also perspiration. This opens your pores.

5.At this point, you may choose to run a cotton make up pad over affected areas to dislodge blackheads.

6.Continuing on, add some cooler water to the pot so that the water remains quite hot, but not boiling, so that you may apply it to affected areas. Do so with a wet cotton pad, wringing it out, and pressing blackhead areas with the pad. Ensure the pad remains hot. Also, be careful not to burn yourself!

7.Cleanse after the use of this method.

For pimples try this:

1.Keep your hair away from the face.The oil from your hair can lead to clogged pores and breakouts.

2.Drink lots of fluids. Water is your best bet for good skin. Hydrating not only helps you internally, it also makes your skin look healthy since toxins are flushed out by water. As a result, your skin will have a really healthy glow.

3.Clean our stuff. Anything that touches your face like pillow cases, pillows, towels, makeup accessories, and even your hands, should be clean. Germs and bacteria that stay in these things could easily be transferred to your face and cause a really bad breakout.

4.Develop a skin regimen. As you should take care of your skin inside (with diet and hydrating), you should also take care of it from the outside. Start an easy-to-follow regimen like washing your face with warm water and gentle facial cleanser before you go to bed. This should remove the dirt and dust that may clog your pores.
There really isn't a way to completely make blackheads go away, but you can make them appear smaller by soaking a cotton ball with astringent and holding it to your face for about a minute so it has time to dissolve the dirt and oil. Another thing is to put a squirt of baby wash on a damp (not real wet) cloth and rubbing it on your skin for about a minute and then rinse it off. If you leave it on too long or scrub your skin too hard, you could end up with a scabby looking patch of dead skin, so it's important to follow my directions.

I work in dermatology, here's my advice-

look for cleansers and lotions with glycolic acid. MD forte is a good line. otherwise, most options are prescription-see a dermatologist if able. a retin-A type product is often helpful. you could also try chemical peels or microdermabrasion, home or at a doctor or aesthetician's office...sometimes if they're very stubborn, an aesthetician may manually extract them, often in combination with a chemical peel or microdermabrasion. good luck!Does anyone have a home remedy to get rid of embedded blackheads (t-zone) ?

You can try using benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to remove your blackheads layer by layer gently. Benzoyl peroxide is typically used once or twice daily, but initially most people should only apply it once a day or every other day to avoid redness and excessive drying. i know youre a little skeptical of exfoliants, BUT i absolutely LOVE mary kay's face exfloiating scrub and moisturizer, it does wonders for my acne and totallly cleans out your pores,and the moisterizer makes your face feel GREAT, its a LITTLE pricey but well worth it, and you only have to do it a maximum of 2 to 3 times a week (they say once but i found using it a couple of times a week really does the trick) and it lasts because you dont need to apply that much, and it has a ';sandy'; feeling to it, thats the stuff in it thats getting all the grime out of your pores, just make sure to avoid the mouth region and the eye region, its not pleasant if it gets in there) also the way you wash your face can keep blackheads and the like in your pores, use a circular motion and make sure you scrub well and use a moisturizer, thats key, it keeps your face looking great, i hope i helped

If you've tried all of those things then unfortunately you might need to seek the help of an esthetician in your nearest spa. I would suggest a series of microdermabrasion treatments and/or glycolic peels to help decrease and prevent blackheads.

If you want to try more things at home I would suggest:

Invest in a good glycolic facial cleanser - glycolic is a stronger exfoliant that will get down in there !! I use MD Forumlations, but there are several out there to choose from!

I would also place a very hot towel on that area for about 5 minutes... and then after your pores have opened, very gently take two q-tips and mash diagnally across your nose and in the other areas where most noticable. (don't push too hard!!)
You can try steaming. Get a pot, fill it with water, boil it, then put a towel over your head and sit there for 10 minutes. The steam opens your pores, after 10 minutes use cotton and gently massage your face. Try this once or twice a week.
I had the same problem and am now using a 2% Beta Hydroxy solution along with a skin care regime from Paula's Choice. Here is some information I hope will help:

Blackheads are plugged pores, but they are plugged from the inside with oils and dead skin cells, not from the outside, say as from dirt. Scrubbing is not likely to help much and will irritate the surrounding skin. The best way to loosen the blockage is with a very mild soap gently rubbed into the skin and then a very good rinse. These plugs don't form overnight so don't expect them to come out in one day - you'll need to keep this up once a day for a week or so to notice a difference. One mild soap that will work is at www.zitsoap.com although any very mild soap is OK. The main thing is to be gentle with your skin and to rinse well.

You can buy strips that you put on your face when it's wet , then you let them dry and then just peel off and the blackhead come off with them. Works a treat and leaves your pores lovely and clear.
I think this might work, just make sure you don't burn yourself. Heat up some water and stand of the steam for a few minutes or until your face starts sweating. This makes your pores bigger... MAN I HAVE NO IDEA... sorry

Yes steam helps. You can also try this beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then rinse with warm water. I usually use Swiss Ives Apricot Facial Scrub. It works really well, probably because the granules work to exfoliate. I've also had good results with facial masks. I read once in a magazine that you can use clay based kitty litter (the non-clumping kind) with water as a mask to help pull out impurities. But, I must tell you I am a tried and true blackhead squeezer too.

Hi if you get waxed even though you exfoliate you will still be prone to ingrown hairs the only way to get them out is to tweeze them out gently try and catch them before they go into the skin too deeply or infection will start around the hair making it more painful to remove, when exfoliating make sure ur using a good body scrub one that suits ur skin type, after exfoliating try rinsing with lukewarm water to close the pores on your body, moisturise afterwards with either essential oils or cream that should sort the pimples out, blackheads are caused by excess oil and dirt getting into open pores, when u cleanse always use a cleanser for oily or combination skin, then splash cold water all over ur face to close down the open pores then moisturise with a moisturiser suitable for combination skin if there is one area on ur face that ur more prone to the blackheads be sparse with the moisturiser as this is obviously where u have toomuch excess oil! to remove blackheads take a warm face cloth and place onto the blackhead, leave for a few minutes to try and open the pore then gently squeeze the base of the blackhead until u can remove it wipe away the excess with the face cloth and close the pore with cold water hope this helps Gilly xWhats a good natural remedy for blackheads, pimples, and ingrown hairs?
absolutely nothing gets blackheads away completely...i have them on my nose and i just want them 2 go away....but lately I have been using something called

Biore strips or w/e the name is ...its in a green little box...go 2 walmart, for them

squuezing pimples makes it worse unless done properly by an esthetition but then you will have red marks for about 4 days cuz it has to heal after being popped

I know you are looking for a NATURAL remedy but I have to tell you about what works for ME. I was like you. I tried many over the counter products and nothing seemed to work until this. Materials

dissolve the gelatin in water and the boil it. Let it cool down. Cut strips of onionskin. Moisten it with the dissolved knoxx gelatin. Place it in the affected area or in stubborn area like the nose and the T area.

Let it dry. When dry. Peel it off. The black heads and white heads will go with the paper.

It is advisable to steam your face so that the skin pores will open.

Wash with cold water after. this will clean the face of any residue and close the pores.

Since this is a lot gelatin. It is best to share it with your friends.

Exfoliate the skin where blackheads are present. It will make them loose, then use a nose strip to pull em out.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

The easiest,economical and effective way is to soak a piece of cotton pad with egg white and paste it on your nose.Leave it on till it's completely dry and peel it off.You'll be surprised.
black heads are the dirt and oil trapped in your pores. You dont want to fade them, you want to get that mess out of your skin. i dont know about home remedies but get a good facial soap or some of the nose strips and get that dirt out.
This might sound crazy. I just read somewhere that using glue, such as elmer's glue, is great for blackheads. Basically spreading it lightly over your nose like those nose strips. I have never tried it, but figured I would pass it on.

I am a licensed esthetician in ny state and for blackheads, there unfortunately is not much you can do. Exfoliating your skin weekly will help keep any debris from building up in the follicle. Washing your face day and night is important. During facials a comedone (aka blackhead) extractor is used. This tool is very effective in removing blackheads but the skin must be moist and i urge you to be cautious because if your skin is not cleansed and moist or if you use too much pressure it could damge and scar your skin. Blackheads are a result of build-up from overproductive oil glands. If you remove the debris it will likely come back, but a comedone extractor is the best tool to use.

i find exfoliating gloves work really well you can get then from alot of shops/supermarkets for roughly 99p, i normally use in the shower with dove extra moisturising shower lotion, just be careful not to rub too hard or your face will be red raw!

I have the same problem. I use those nose trips by Biore. There is a way to make 'em at home but you'd have to buy some kind of mud and some essential oils and it's just a huge mess :P

Also, for everyday maintenance use those oil/make up remover wipes on your nose to get all the oil off so it doesn't clog the pores.

steam your skin by heating 1 qt water, 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (ACV) drape a towel over the pan and your head. then dab some ACV over your skin to remove dirt. do this 3 times, steam, dab...then gently squeeze the blackheads. spray or dab on a chilled solution of half water half ACV to close pores and tone skin. do this twice a week.

use the ACV to clean your skin up to 4 times daily

drink 1-2 tablespoons, with honey if you like, in a glass of water each morning and evening..
Wash your face with baking soda. No joke, I do it twice each week. It's just abrasive enough to clean oput your pores without scratching your skin, and the acidity dries up the oil. Also, if you have a really bad pimple, put either a green tea bag (already used) on it for awhile, and it will take away the redness, but grind up as aspirin and mix it with a tiny bit of water to make a paste, and stick it on the pimple overnight or for 20 minutes during the day. Try the followin tips i found for u .do not use chemicals on skin. Follow these instructions and do let me know if they worked on your skin. i'm sure they will!

1. Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.

2. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.

3. Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.

4. Place strawberry leaves on the acne, the alkalinity helps to reduce the swelling.

Blackheads are really white heads with oxidation. Benzoyl peroxide ointment can be applied 2x daily. It's a bleaching agent. Get it at walmart, generic works just as well.

Cover your head in a towel and lean over a bowl of boiling water for 5 minutes so the steam can open your pours. You then rinse your face with really cold water and pat it (don't rub) dry. Should get rid of them.
This usually works for me... boil some water and add a few chamomile tea bags. Poor the water into a bowl, cover your head with a towel and sit for 5 minutes this opens your pores. Not only is this helpful, it can be relaxing too. If you don't want to lean over the bowl soak a towel in the water %26amp; place it over your face for the same amount of time. When you're finished wash your face with a mild cleanser with warm water to clear out the dirt and bacteria. Once you're finished splash some cold water on your face to close your pores. Whatever you do, don't try to squeeze them, this will only cause redness and could irritate your skin further. I also use a mask occasionaly, not only does this help remove blackheads, it also removes dead surface cells that cause dullness. I personally use Origins charcoal mask

I use Baking soda :] it works.

I wet my face with water so that it has some moisture to it. ( before wash your face so that it's clean) and then i take some baking soda and apply it to the effected areas on my face. I usually rub it on my face in circles so that it ';deep cleans'; ..or at least i feel that it does!

Ok, well I have quite a few blackheads on my nose, but they are tiny and my mum says they are normal because of my age, and only i can see them. When I get a big one, my mum boils the kettle and gets a cotton bud. She soaks the cotton bud in the water after adding a little salt, and then immediatly presses on the blackhead applying preassure. Then she sterrilises a needle using more boiling salt water, and very, very gently tries to bring the blackhead to the surface. This usually works, but seriously, don't do it without sterilising. This could lead to an infection, and be really careful.

An easier way is to simply get a facial wash with grit in it - like little minerals and things, which will scrub away blackheads after a while. This will also help to prevent them. Wash your face every morning and night to prevent spots and blackheads, and for softer skin.

This has been mentioned before but go with the tweezers when it comes to black heads. I've done this, and unlike whiteheads, the pore is open so all that will.....um.....come out when you squeeze it is that 'stuff' and not other things like blood. Just don't squeeze so hard that blood comes out or it will have a bigger chance of leaving a scar. Ok, I'm sorry, that sounded really gross.

Remove Blackheads and Whiteheads

I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.

-Smashed up avacados (he said to drink the juice inside first, I know sounds disgusting but just do it)

And you mix it all together and put it on your face for about 5 minutes once a day...It might look really weird and gross and smell really gross but it works
